Please notice the plaque that Hoke is holding in the pictures.  For the first time EVER, the Mid-Alabama Corvette club won a second place trophy and $200.00 cash prize for our club display.  THIS IS REALLY SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF!!!  We also received numerous accolades and comments of praise from other long-time World of Wheels participants.

 

We had 6 cars in the club's "History of Corvette" display, but we also had 4 more members cars being shown on their own in other areas of the show.  

 

ALL of our member owned cars won a first or second place in their class.  These included:

Chuck Lewis - C3

Tom Fisher - C3

Chris Gilliland - C4

Jocko Lewis - C4 (see note below)

Jocko also won First place in the Semi-Custom Sports Division, and a $500.00 prize for Outstanding Sports Class .

 

THIS WAS TRULY AN INCREDIBLE YEAR FOR OUR CLUB AND IT'S MEMBERS.  CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL ON YOUR HARD WORK!

 

Thanks to every member who came and worked so hard talking with other Vette owners about our club and it's objectives.  I have already received numerous calls e-mails from folks interested in membership.  What a terrific success this undertaking was.
